Unmatched Experience from LG IPS Monitors

We’re normally jargon averse on this blog. But when it comes to monitors, there are three words we think you just have to learn: In Plane Switching, or IPS for short.

Most people who know IPS already are legit pros at what they do, people who need the most accurately reproduced color available. Think people like graphics professionals and you’re on the right track.

What’s cool about IPS is that the viewing experience is so better than a regular monitor that we can all get something out it.

Every day activities

Now, if you’re like us, you spend a lot of time in front of your computer. And many of us have been known to shop a bit, too. Imagine you buy a red shirt to match a pair of new jeans. You make your payment and wait eagerly for the shipment to arrive. And when it does, you tear it open only to find that… the red is actually kind of orange. How come you didn’t see that on your monitor!?

If the situation sounds familiar, then this disclaimer probably look very familiar: “Due to the large variation of monitors, video cards, operating systems, and internet browsers and the effects each has on each other, we cannot guarantee the fabric colors displayed.” Recognize it? Right, from one of those online shopping malls.

What a disappointment. Even with a state-of-the-art system featuring a killer video card, if your monitor is sub-par, you’re color experience will be, shall we say, lacking.

Well, you don’t need to worry with an IPS monitor, because the color reproduction is simply that good. You might even avoid a fashion faux pas.

Watching movies and videos

What about movie buffs? Imagine yourself watching a movie in bed at night. It might be the best place ever to watch a film but for most regular displays you pretty much have to get the angle just right or else the colors bleed. When you’re falling asleep, you don’t want to sit ramrod straight but that’s pretty much what you have to do to find just the right viewing angle.

IPS monitors solve this with an exceptional viewing angle of about 178 degrees. So go ahead and feel free to move about.

Gaming

For gamers, it’s even more of a no-brainer. Most gamers play for several hours straight and everyone knows that can be hard on the eyes. After just a few hours, your eyes can dry out, and pretty soon you won’t see what you’re doing.

This is mainly because many displays have inconsistent response times that leave residual images or show motion blur when displaying moving objects.

But IPS monitors offer more vivid pictures, with consistent response times throughout the entire display, making it much more comfortable on the eyes.

So let’s sum it up. LG’s IPS monitors offer exceptionally wide viewing angles, vivid pictures, consistent response times and excellent color reproduction. That’s why many graphics experts and even surgeons choose our monitors, and many companies choose LG IPS panels when they want top-notch screens. And even for other general consumers out there, LG’s IPS monitors can make a world of difference when it comes to reproducing the life around us properly.
